FrontLiners

The front-Line worker’s. It’s hard. It’s hard being away from home for 12-36 hours at a time. It’s hard missing holidays and weekends with friends and family. It’s hard being up all night, only to go home cranky and annoyed with everyone. It’s hard not getting to follow programming the way I want to. It’s hard being stressed some days to the point where you feel like you’re a different person. It’s hard hearing about how likely it is that we will one day, get sick, injured, or lose a life in our hands.
It is hard, dealing with the fact, you cannot save everyone.

What isn’t hard is remembering why we chose this. Remembering that we are the ones people look to on the worst day of their lives. We are the ones people count on for just about any emergency you can think of. We are also the ones people expect to always know what to do…and to be physically and mentally prepared to do so. It’s not hard to better yourself…to make yourself capable of being counted on. It’s not hard to keep yourself accountable. It may not be easy, but it’s definitely worth it.

Love and Peace to All✨
